The Diamond Trust Bank (DTB) Headquarters in Nairobi demonstrates how existing buildings can achieve high levels of sustainability through targeted upgrades and performance optimisation. DTB engaged UGC to carry out a comprehensive EDGE audit of its headquarters, with the aim of identifying practical measures to improve resource efficiency and align with the EDGE certification standard.
UGC worked closely with the facilities management team to assess and enhance the building’s energy and water performance. Through this collaborative process, the project achieved EDGE Advanced certification, a milestone that recognises buildings achieving over 40% energy savings compared to baseline. The result is a high-performing office facility with significantly reduced utility costs and improved operational sustainability.
