Kigali Financial Business Square (KFBS) is a landmark mixed-use commercial development located in central Kigali. The project comprises high-end office spaces and a hotel, and is set to become a major hub for business in Rwanda. UGC was engaged from the early design stages and has worked closely with the architects, engineers, and client team to optimise the project’s sustainability performance in line with LEED Gold requirements.
Our scope has included detailed building performance modelling and strategy development across key sustainability areas, including energy efficiency, indoor environmental quality, water use, land use impact, stormwater management, and construction waste management. UGC has also provided targeted guidance during construction to ensure that design intentions are fully realised and documented for LEED compliance.
