BDO East Africa, Nairobi Office

BDO East Africa’s Nairobi office initiated a full carbon footprint assessment as part of its commitment to responsible business practices and environmental, social, and governance (ESG) leadership. The audit covered Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions from core office functions, travel, procurement, and waste. The findings informed a strategic drawdown roadmap with prioritised interventions tailored to an urban commercial office context. The exercise also helped build internal awareness and capacity, supporting BDO’s broader sustainability and climate governance objectives. This project reinforces the role of professional services firms in leading corporate decarbonisation efforts in Africa.
