Aashiana Private Home, Nairobi

Aashiana is a high-performance private residence located on Tchui Road in Muthaiga, Nairobi. Developed by iJenga Ventures Ltd., the home is a model of sustainable residential design in Kenya’s urban context. UGC’s Amrish Shah served as the EDGE Auditor, making this the first EDGE-certified home in Kenya and the region, and the first to be audited by a local Kenyan EDGE Auditor. Despite being a single-unit project, Aashiana demonstrates a strong commitment to energy efficiency, water conservation, and low-embodied carbon construction. Its certification highlights how individual homes can meaningfully contribute to national and global climate goals.
