Afreximbank Africa Trade Centre (AATC), Kampala

The Afreximbank Africa Trade Centre (AATC) in Kampala is a flagship mixed-use development by the African Export–Import Bank. Comprising premium office spaces and serviced aparthotels, the development spans approximately 27,500 m². UGC was engaged from the early design stage to support the project team in achieving LEED Gold certification. UGC has worked closely with the architects, engineers, and contractors to optimise the building’s performance across key LEED categories—including energy use, water conservation, indoor environmental quality, material selection, and site impact. Through detailed simulation modelling and advisory, UGC continues to guide the project towards compliance with LEED’s rigorous standards and alignment with global ESG goals.
