Children’s Investment Fund Foundation Office, Addis Ababa

The Children’s Investment Fund Foundation (CIFF) Office in Addis Ababa is the first project in Ethiopia to achieve EDGE certification marking a significant milestone for green buildings in the country. UGC was engaged to assess the sustainability performance of the existing office fit-out and to identify targeted improvements in line with EDGE standards. Working closely with the client and project team, UGC conducted a full sustainability audit and provided expert guidance on strategies to improve energy and water efficiency while maintaining the integrity of the existing interior design. The project focused on optimising lighting and cooling systems, introducing water-saving fixtures, and leveraging the reuse of existing materials and finishes to minimise environmental impact.
