Cianda Mall is a high-rise mixed-use development located in Nairobi’s Central Business District. The project comprises 11 floors of retail space and 9 upper floors for hotel and office use. UGC was engaged from the early design phase to guide the client and design team in aligning the project with EDGE certification requirements. UGC’s role includes conducting building performance modelling, evaluating passive design opportunities, and advising on efficient energy, water, and material strategies suitable for a dense urban context. The project is currently in the design stage, with certification targeted upon completion.
