The Crowne Plaza Hotel in Dar es Salaam is a contemporary 4-star hotel located in the heart of Tanzania’s largest city. Constructed in 2019, the property spans eight floors and includes 148 guest rooms, an all-day dining restaurant, bar, meeting rooms, gym, and swimming pool. As part of the Westmont Hospitality Group’s broader sustainability initiative, UGC was engaged to carry out a comprehensive performance analysis and develop a strategy to align the hotel with EDGE certification requirements. UGC is advising the team on the implementation of targeted retrofit measures in energy and water systems, with final certification expected in 2025.
