Gath Plaza, located along Riverside Drive in Nairobi, is an 8-storey mixed-use development comprising office and retail spaces. From the early design stage, UGC was engaged to provide full sustainability advisory, working closely with the architects, engineers, and project team to integrate passive design strategies and meet EDGE certification requirements.
Through detailed building simulation modelling, UGC helped optimise the building envelope, mechanical systems, water efficiency measures, and material selections. These interventions enabled the project to exceed baseline performance and achieve EDGE Advanced Preliminary Certification, making it a standout example of high-performance urban development.
