Global Tech Company, Nairobi
This commercial office fit-out for a Global Tech Company in Nairobi set a regional benchmark for sustainability, achieving LEED Platinum certification for its first phase making it the first LEED Platinum certified project in Kenya and East Africa, and one of the first in Africa.
Spanning five floors and 5,000 m², the project was delivered in two phases. Phase 1 (3,000 m²) achieved LEED Platinum certification, a milestone that involved close coordination between UGC, the global client team, and the design consultants. Phase 2 (2,000 m²) subsequently achieved LEED Gold certification, continuing the commitment to world-class environmental performance.
UGC was engaged from the early design stage to lead the LEED certification strategy, run detailed simulation modelling, and advise on all sustainability measures—from energy, water and material efficiency to indoor environmental quality and occupant health. The result is a high-performance, future-ready workspace aligned with global sustainability standards.
