Marriott Hotel, Casablanca
The Marriott Hotel in Casablanca is a prominent 5-star property located in the heart of the city. Originally constructed in 2001 and renovated in 2022, the hotel spans 18 floors and includes 305 guest rooms along with a wide range of amenities including meeting spaces, a gym, an all-day dining restaurant, a bar, and a swimming pool.
As part of a broader initiative by the Westmont Hospitality Group to certify its portfolio of existing properties, UGC was engaged to conduct a comprehensive EDGE feasibility assessment for the Casablanca hotel. The aim is to identify practical and cost-effective measures that would enable the hotel to meet EDGE certification standards.
UGC’s scope includes a detailed audit of current building performance across energy, water, and envelope systems, and advising the hotel operators on retrofit strategies and specification upgrades needed to improve efficiency. The feasibility assessment is currently underway, with a focus on enhancing operational sustainability without compromising guest comfort.
