Radisson Blu Hotel, Upper Hill, Nairobi
The Radisson Blu Hotel in Upper Hill, Nairobi is a premier 5-star hospitality establishment that underwent a targeted retrofit to improve its operational performance and align with global sustainability benchmarks. UGC was engaged to conduct a full EDGE feasibility assessment and provide strategic advisory for energy, water, and materials optimisation. UGC worked closely with the hotel’s engineering and management teams to guide the implementation of key efficiency upgrades—including lighting, HVAC systems, water-saving fixtures, and the recommissioning of the existing solar hot water system. In 2024, the project successfully achieved EDGE Advanced Certification, making it one of the leading examples of green hospitality retrofits in the region.
