Tiger Packaging is a newly developed industrial manufacturing facility located in Kilifi, on Kenya’s coast. Designed to align with the IFC EDGE standard from the outset, the project reflects a deliberate commitment to sustainable industrial development. UGC was engaged from the early design phase, working closely with the architects and engineering teams to guide decisions around passive design, resource efficiency, and material optimisation. Through careful specification and performance modelling, the facility achieved EDGE Advanced Certification, becoming the first EDGE-certified industrial facility in Kilifi County, and a model for sustainable manufacturing in the region.
