Trade and Development Bank (TDB) , Nairobi Regional Office
The Trade and Development Bank (TDB) Nairobi Regional Office is a 19-storey Grade A office tower designed by Planning Systems Services Ltd., representing a commitment to high-performance, environmentally responsible commercial real estate in East Africa.
UGC was engaged during the design development phase to support the architectural and engineering teams with advanced building simulation modelling. Our focus was to optimise the building envelope by evaluating glazing performance, shading design and natural ventilation strategies - ensuring a balance between energy efficiency, occupant comfort and daylight access.
Following detailed analysis and refinements to the design, the project pursued and successfully achieved EDGE certification highlighting measurable improvements in resource efficiency. TDB now stands as a benchmark for modern, climate-conscious office buildings in the region.
